Only seven people inhabit the island of Tussøy in Arctic Norway. For two years I photographed the island and it resulted in the book Tussøy. When you live this close to nature, you have to adapt. The margins are narrow, and nature can be very dangerous if you don’t listen to it and respect it. You have to know all the reefs in the sea and you have to read the signs of the weather. If you think you can conquer nature, it will become your enemy. This humility and knowledge can take years to learn and sometimes generations. What will happen to us if we lose this knowledge?
